I’ve had 2 Charge 5’s, the battery failed on the first one, and I live by my stats!
This new Charge 6 is notably more advanced and accurate, and for me importantly it has many more additional sports including skiing.
I didn’t like the watch face so much but it was easy to put the screen I wanted and configure in the usual way.
Also I changed the strap and fitted the one from my old Charge 5 which fits identically.
As a man with a hairy wrist, pushing the overlap through the strap hole is very uncomfortable, and the strap supplied doesn’t suit me, not at all.
The charger cable is identical, so it suits that the bedside cradle charger I previously bought works perfectly.
My biggest gripe is the App, now belonging to Google. The recent upgrade is a step backwards. Things like the watch remaining battery charge are no longer the first things you see. Sleep stats have less data, etc etc.
Apart from the App, which is still good, just less so, the Charge 6 is excellent. Small form factor, lightweight (certainly compared to my Fenix!) and i love it being ‘Always On’ which you can set up, so it’s always readable.
Hope this long write up helps!

Bought this as an updated version of Fitbit 5. Thought it would be better at recording sleep and steps. How wrong could I be.
First of all It doesn’t wake up on twisting wrist as stated. Secondly, constantly going off Bluetooth and I carry my phone at all times, therefore not recording accurately.. most of the time two taps do not work, takes quite a few attempts to get to the screen you want. Wallet forget it, utube, nope… overall a massive waste of money. Wish I just stayed with the Fitbit 5 or gone for something more reliable.

Started using it a couple of weeks ago. Took four attempts to sync it with my iPhone. Then when I star walking, it starts an automatic count of exercise minutes that I had to learn how to stop as not all of my walking is cardio exercise? So far YouTube feature just gets the spinning wheel of terror so I don’t use it as it drains the battery. I was happy with the simplicity of my Charge 2. This one feels a bit too much. We’ll see how it goes!

Really good fitness tracker. Bright display, with lots of useful functions. Battery life is pretty decent compared to other devices on the market.

First, I have to say that
      1) I am allergic to *nothing*. Never was
      2) I own and wear multiple watches with silicon/rubber bracelets, and never had a problem with them
      3) I used other exercise bands before (Huwei, that this one was to replace).
      4) I wear it as described (not too tight, not too loose)
      5) I don’t wear it 24h/7, I remove it in the morning until my lunch walk.
      6) I don’t do a high energy sport: I walk a lot!

I tried now 3 times to get used to that band. Everytime after a few days I develop pretty strong burns on the arm. Takes weeks to recover as the skin will peel of eventually. As mentioned, I *never* have problems with allergies, this is really *this* band that is the problem.

Beside that, I don’t think it’s a lot better than my older Huwei one. Bigger screen, etc but really… Also the ‘pestering’ of the fitbit app is rather annoying. They want you to upgrade to their money making skim even if you click the ads away. I already paid for that product, bye now! As a rule I *never* sign up to free membership, it’s always the best way to be automatically enrolled in the paying one when the free bit runs out.

The GPS might as well not be there. It turns out it is set to try to use the one in your phone, which is probably why you bought a band with built in GPS, right? Because your phone is… in your pocket with no GPS! So out of over a month of use, I managed TWICE to get it to work.

It’s now too late to return it, but I’m going to try to get a refund for this. I wonder how they managed to get that on the market.

As happy with the 6 as I was with the 5 before it failed.
Same features higher price. Progress eh?
Does what it’s supposed to and have noticed a fitness improvement.
      I don’t give 5’s.😉

Ich habe das Armband nicht wegen dem Schrittzähler gekauft. Aber der Mist nervt gewaltig. Man sollte es wenigstens abschalten können und in der Featureliste nicht erwähnen. 10 Minuten STILL sitzen 300 Schritte!!!

If you want a clean display of date/time and stats like earlier Fitbit Charge you can forget it. Even though there is more screen space than earlier models, some usability clown has decided you must have large whacky fonts, meaningless graphics, and slanted or overlapping texts.

There was very little to recommend the upgrade from Charge 4 to 5, but given the recent drop in price of the Charge 6 plus its comfortable and improved design I’d certainly recommend to those of you who want to move from earlier models. Nice to have a bit of colour in the display. Obviously, the important thing is not how it looks but how it performs and so far very pleased with its accuracy in terms of tracking various elements – from steps to calories to heart rate. Battery life is standard for the Charge – no major leaps forward here – remove the message notifications and it lasts a little longer of course. Some people have complained that you have to use a Google account – no biggie, it linked to a Google account without issue. All good.

This arrived on time and I got a pretty good price. It was straightforward to set up and has sufficient information for my purposes. I play a lot of sport, principally tennis, and it monitors that and others I participate in very well. I am able to update the Google fit up by using Google health as an intermediary. I am very glad that Google play is not included as that means that apps do not require to be updated by me; particularly Google wallet (that can cause issues from time to time). Simplicity of the device contributes substantially to its excellent battery life. I have not let it run a full 7days but at 5 days I had more than 30% battery life left. I have read a lot of reviews on the web and they criticize this and the Fitbit versa 4 and sense 2 for not having Google play. In my view it is a significant strength not having that. I highly recommend this device.
