What well run operation, iam not a train spotter, but the trains are so amazing, views amazing. We booked afternoon tea for tea, food and service excellent, afterwards we to a stroll to a local inn before our return journey. The trip is a must do when visiting Ravenglass. Big thank you to all those involved in the running of the line between Ravenglass and Dalgarth. A big thumbs up.

I was gifted this train ride and afternoon tea experience by my daughter. I had a great day out, the narrow gauge train was pulled by a steam locomotive in both directions, you could look over the engine prior to boarding and enjoyed a delicious tea at Dalegarth Station in the middle of the round trip

Organisation was excellent so once booked you didn’t have to worry about a thing. The train arrived and departed on time and nervy was breath taking. We upgraded to 1st class and it was well worth th extra money. Once at Dalegarth we went for our cream tea which was ready and waiting. Time for a walk in the most beautiful area I have visited in a long time and we were back for our return journey to Ravenglass.

We loved the Lake District Steam Train Trip and Cream Tea. It helped that we had a glorious day for it. The scenery was lovely. The cream tea was fresh. After the cream tea we had enough time to visit the Eskdale Mill at Boot, just a 10 minute walk from the station, and surrounding area before taking the train back. All in all it was a fab trip.

After extended the gift voucher a couple of times because of restrictions we were finally able to enjoy this amazing gift experience. From start to finish we had a fabulous time, customer service was second to none. The journey on the trains was lovely. The cream tea was scrumptious and we even treated ourselves to the best ice cream ever. Highly recommend.

We had a lovely day on the Ravenglass & Eskdale Railway. A gifted train trip and cream tea experience. Booked directly with the railway staff in advance and everything went perfect on the day. Staff all ready, tables prepared and food ready for your preferred time to eat. Allow time at both ends of the line to view locality and countryside. We were very lucky with the weather so enjoyed the Lake District at its best.

really made my day. We journeyed 1st class in the carriage RUTH through the Eskdale Valley, passing spectacular scenery across the Scafell range to Dalegarth. Our Cream Tea for Two was waiting in the Fellbites Cafe. on our return journey we sat 1st Class in JOAN. I would suggest when booking this 40mins journey choose the larger carriages, for comfort and ease getting into and out of the carriage.

All of the staff were friendly and helpful including the lady on the phone who dealt with our voucher booking.
The trains run on time and the ride is very picturesque.

The whole experience was really pleasing from start to finish. Looking round the museum at Ravenglass was very interesting. The train ride was very relaxing travelling through the picturesque countryside. We booked in at the cafe where we were shown to our table and served with a lovely cream tea. The sandwiches had plenty of filling in them and the fruit scones were just perfect. The return journey on the train completed a truly enjoyable experience

Lovely afternoon spent trundling up and down the line. This is a small gauge railway. So dont confuse it as full size! We will return with our grandchildren whom I am sure will enjoy this attraction. Afternoon tea was sandwich and scone so dont expect a lavish array of various petite cakes etc.
