Nice screen, decent sound quality BUT. Amazon simply haven’t bothered updating the functionality on the echo series in the past few years. With AI spreading into the mass market Alexa should be MUCH brighter now and able to accomplish so much more. Add to this the drab list of applications that make use of the Show’s display and I honestly struggle to think of a reason for buying one.
The sound quality of the latest Echo Dot is very good. My honest advice is that unless you MUST have a screen in front of you, buy a Dot instead – at £24 (currently) they’ll make the most of what Alexa offers and you’ll save yourself a hundred quid.

I like this show quite a lot. It links with my euffy smart doorbell and Swan CCTV system quite well (slight delay while the picture loads to the screen). Music quality is also adequate for my kitchen (although not as good bass as my echo).
