Everything was lovely from the efficient greeting at reception to the starched white tablecloth and folded napkins at the table in the window looking across the valley. Tea was replenished as required and the sandwiches, mini sausage rolls, two sorts of scones, lemon posset and 3 small cakes were all delicious.

Manager who explained everything to us. Expected the usual cake stand with
sandwiches and cakes but it was a savoury small beef burger, fries chicken plus
other lovely food. Then a dessert of waffles with ice cream etc, cheesecake and
chocolate flat jacks. The Manager was very attentive and lovely waitress. She could see we couldn’t eat everything so packed some desserts for us to take

We chose to visit the Mercure Hotel Bristol “The Grange Hotel” nr. Winterbourne for our Virgin Experience “Tea for Two,”. It’s a splendid country house set in acres of parkland. The welcoming staff showed us into a lovely dining room where we were offered pots of tea & coffee. The tea itself consisted of a variety of fresh tasty sandwiches, delightful home-made decorative cakes & also a cream tea with scones, jam & clotted cream. A very pleasant experience which we would highly recommend.

My husband and I had a delicious afternoon tea at the Mercure Hotel, Brighton. We sat in the window and watched the people out on the seafront in the wet, cold weather and felt really lovely and cosy.
The staff were attentive and very pleasant to chat too.

We’d been gifted a voucher in 2023 and chose to visit this hotel! Loved our visit so much that when we were fortunate to receive same voucher at Christmas we knew there was only one place to go. As always service is attentive. The tea ‘beautiful’! It’s the only tea where we are ‘full’ but not uncomfortable and haven’t either left food or bought ‘doggy bag’ home, not liking waste.
