I was really surprise at just how full of info and pro tips were in this book. Figured it would be gimmicky but not at all. I have tons of prepper books, best ones by Arthur T Bradley- for home survival and Creek Steward bug out for car or outdoors, even some military guides and I must say this is a great book. It does not read like an end of the world fanatic book. Its more of a comprehensive book on surviving all different types of weather conditions, how to’s and gear ideas, expert tip from the army, girl scouts, boy scouts and other experienced outdoor groups. How to improvise different things like snow shoes, bamboo beds, sun glasses and other really cool things. As much as I like all my books as its fun to get different perspectives, this is a great book if you only want one that covers the most outdoor survival. Aurthur T Bradley is better for home weather conditions like tornadoes and floods and hurricanes and the like. There is just so much information in this book its too much to list.

The most important thing other than the great information is it’s just plain fun to read, not boring or drawn out at all. It also has great stories of doomsday preppers which are cool and funny at the same time although some may find them over the top in the prepping area but the book itself is less over the top and more practical information. It is a welcome addition to my top book collection. It’s also a Great gift idea for friends and family. As I do think more people should be prepared at home and in their car, it’s just common sense as murphy’s law happens to us all at some point!

overall: buy it, great read, better info and really comprehensive in types of environments covered.

The description is inacurate. If you are looking for a wildernes survival book, this is OK. If you are looking for a prepping guide……this is not it.

Not all preppers are crackpots, despite what you may have seen on the show! I find it interesting that the more sensible chapters about things that might actually be useful to the average person are written by women!

It has chapters on survival in various types of environments, so if you’re going travelling off the beaten track then you might find this useful. Even though I’m not likely to go to many of the types of environments covered, I still found it an interesting read..although admittedly I reached the point where I just skimmed some bits! There are useful packing lists and first aid information and if you ever get extreme weather / natural disasters in your area (e.g. Earth) then I think a book like this is good to read…This is forming part of my ‘survival’ section in my library!

Experienced survivalist. Even I found useful info in this book. The pages are thick and the binding some of the best around. This book will last through many readings. The info is broken down first on areas of need: food, water, heat. etc. The next sections are broken down by areas of survival: mountain, desert, jungle, ocean, etc. The sections and groups are quick reads and not to-in-depth.
Should be in every survivalist/preppers home. Actually every home should have this even for the 72 hour emergency kit.

das buch war nicht fuer mich, aber ich gleube die Person die es bekommen hat ist zufrieden obwohl das Buch ziemlich einfach ist und man koennte bissl mehr erwarten als preper 😉

    11. Jim Barker

      Good read. . . .. . ….. …… . . ………. . . … . . ……. …. . .

    12. John Lillis

      Very interesting.

As a survivalist/bushcraft/prepper/homesteader guide there are plenty more out there that are better suited. However as a bit of fun and a quick reference for certain bases, this can be quite useful. I would say this is one of the last books you would add to your survivalist library. If you want specifics buy a specific book. If you want and overview then there are better books out there.

      Quick delivery and well packaged
