This is a fantastic family game which requires strategic thinking but at the same time is a lot of fun. I have played other games like Monopoly and Articulate and this is not far off one of my favourite board games. There are a few rules but once you get the hang of it the fun is endless. If you like Marvel then that is an added bonus. The quality of the tokens and cards is also really good. The only downside to this game is that it is a maximum of 4 players but even then it does not take long for one game.

It is a fun game. Easy enough to learn, takes more time to get good. Quality cards, etc but the chips are smooth and easily dropped. Great fun for 2-4 people.

The expansion pack offers 4 new ways to play, keeping the game fresh and interesting, these game modes each come with a a variety of either new cards, new pieces and new rules for each mode. They’re fairly easy to learn and each new mode changes how you play and win the game. It’s definitely worth getting if you already have the original splendor game, but if you don’t have it then this is worthless to you. My main issue with this is the packaging itself, it comes in the same size box as the original splendor game, but doesn’t have as much cards and pieces as the original, so it feels like a waste of packaging. However, you can fit all the new pieces of this expansion and the original into this expansion pack box, so it kind of makes up for it, even if it doesn’t fit that well into it. Would have been perfect if it was designed to fit it all into the box properly, you kinda have to stuff it all in there

Simple to explain and play, it’s a race to gain to the most points, the game end triggers when a player reaches 15 points or more. Players collect jewels to spend them on cards that give ongoing jewel abilities, that then can be spent on valuable point cards. It’s a good game that I will be keeping in my collection.

This is a great family game! We wanted something that wouldn’t take forever to play (like Risk) while still being fun. This game fits that description and the rules are not too complicated either, so it didn’t take too long to learn how to play. We’ve played it a few times now and it’s still very fun. I would say it was a great value for the money.

What an excellent game,
Firstly we are a family of 3 marvel fans two 30 somethings and a 4yr old.
We have bought a few marvel board games and found them hard to understand at first but this game is different.
I watched one video of a couple playing it online and after 20mins of that knew exactly how to play and what my strategy would be.
We both really enjoyed how easy it is to play and the ease of the set up (it’s hard to play the same strategy every game with a 4yr old girl demanding you get a spiderman every time!)
The game took around 20mins and is fast paced enough to not get stale.
The cards feel good and high quality and the infinity stones (poker chips) are sold, weighted and also have a high quality.
If you are looking for a family game I would stop at this one and just get it.

UPDATE, the 4yr old is now 7 and can fully play on her own and knows the rules and can win with no help from an adult. I know it says 10plus but they can pick it up younger.

This is an excellent game for 2 to 4 people when you want something fast (15 to 45 mins, depending on how many people are playing and how much they mull over the choices) and perfect if you have friends or family who are reluctant to learn complex rules for new games. The rules for this are short and sweet, and yet the game feels complex and challenging to fully master. We originally bought this as a gift for family and we liked it so much that we got a second copy for ourselves. Before playing it I thought it might be too similar to either Duel or other games we have, but it feels quite distinct and it’s definitely very fun to play. Glad we added it to our collection!
