The original Articulate is challenging for kids as they don’t know most of the people but with this box you can play the game and get everyone involved on equal terms. We successfully used the kids pack alongside the adults pack on the adults board and everyone was happy and involved. Articulate is also
a very simple game to pick up which is KEY at Christmas!!

    2. Teddy

Our 6 year old granddaughter loves this game. It’s fun but also educational

    3. Brent N.

This game is fast paced with the ability to give verbal clues and acting to help your team guess the correct word. Enjoy the potential to spin to move your opponent back 2 or 3 spaces and potentially have them land on a subject area that is a more difficult one. Like the all play areas to allow you the opportunity to steal back your turn. Many laughs when playing.

We have played this a few times, and people to our home have asked to borrow it which says all you need it to.

We have also played it with just 2 or 3 players where we can’t make teams so we all act as each others team to move our counter round the board. It has been just as fun to play it this way as it has been in a team. Nobody tried to sabotage anyones game as it was just too much fun to try to work out what they were trying to get us to guess!

Definitey recommend – old, young, small groups, large groups. Anyone!

Excellent game to help enhance childrens development. Really gets them thinking and tests their knowledge, so many different topics to cover, this is a game children can’t get board of and can never really be finished. Something that can be played over and over again, whilst continuously learning.

This is really good fun. My daughter really enjoyed it. We played lots over Christmas and I’m glad I bought it. The only slight snag is you start to remember what’s on the cards once you’ve played it a few times, which makes it easier to guess, but that’s inevitable with any board game I suppose. Definitely worth a purchase.

Drumond Park Articulate is an absolute gem of a family board game that has stood the test of time in my home, bringing joy and entertainment for years. As a host who frequently has friends over, I can confidently say that Articulate has been the life of countless gatherings, creating cherished memories filled with endless laughter and bonding moments.

The concept of the game is brilliantly simple yet exhilarating. Players must describe as many card entries as possible within a thrilling 30-second window, all without resorting to using “rhymes with” or “sounds like” clues. This fast-talking description game never fails to bring everyone together and ignite a competitive yet lighthearted spirit among the players. It’s incredible to witness the sheer creativity and wit that emerges from each participant as they strive to convey their clues within the time limit.

One of the absolute highlights of Articulate is the “Try Not to Panic” round, which introduces an extra layer of excitement and hilarity to the game. During this round, players must describe a word without actually uttering it. Sounds easy, right? Think again! As the timer races, and the other team heckles you mercilessly, panic is inevitable, leading to moments of side-splitting confusion and laughter. This brilliantly designed round keeps the game engaging and entertaining throughout, ensuring that every session is filled with unpredictable fun.

As a family board game, Articulate is a true blessing, especially for those with smartphone-addicted teenagers. It serves as a powerful tool to bring the whole family together for some good old-fashioned quality time, reminiscent of the days before screens dominated our lives. Whether it’s a relaxed weekend family game night or a lively holiday gathering, Articulate never fails to foster a strong sense of connection and camaraderie among all generations. It transcends age barriers, allowing everyone to actively participate and create unforgettable memories together.

Furthermore, Articulate seamlessly transforms into an adult party game, showcasing its versatility and appeal to various audiences. This game draws the shy out of their shells and humbles the overly confident, making it the ultimate icebreaker that effortlessly unites a roomful of people in fits of hysterical laughter. The way it creates an atmosphere of pure joy and merriment is truly unmatched, making it an essential addition to any party or social gathering.

With its flexible player count, accommodating 4 to 20+ participants aged 12 and above, Articulate is the epitome of inclusivity and adaptability. Whether it’s an intimate gathering with a few close friends or a large-scale party with a diverse group, this game effortlessly caters to ensure that the more, the merrier. Its ability to entertain a wide range of players makes it an absolute crowd-pleaser, perfect for any occasion.

In conclusion, I wholeheartedly give Drumond Park Articulate Family Board Game a well-deserved 5-star rating, and my praise for this remarkable game knows no bounds. Its enduring appeal and ability to elicit endless joy have made it a treasured companion in my social gatherings over the years. From heartwarming family bonding to laughter-filled parties, Articulate has proven to be the ultimate source of entertainment and laughter. I highly recommend this game to anyone seeking to create cherished memories and moments of shared joy with friends and family. Articulate is a timeless classic that will undoubtedly continue to be a cherished part of my life for many years to come.

I highly recommend the original version of Articulate–it you love games, the fact that this is a British trivia version will not deter you, just make you try harder and add a little more charades play in. We cannot wait to play it when our family gathers and have made sure that every home in our family group owns one. However, this more American-styled version is dumbed down and inserts a very shortened time limit which makes the game exasperating and hardly as downright hilarious as the original. We played it once and donated it. Get the original.

My family (2 boomers and 2 gen-Xers) really enjoyed playing this game together. It took us more than a few minutes to figure out the rules, especially the part with the “spades” markings. The spinner never worked properly because it doesn’t really fit into the the folds of the board, but we just ignored that part of the game. Also, some of the words were not familiar to us, especially some people and a few places (we looked them up, they were in Britain, we are in the USA.) When this happened, we just drew another card and moved. This was a fun game, we all enjoyed it, even the one of us who doesn’t really like board games. I would recommend it, despite a few drawbacks.
