This was a good price for this easel, seen similar for a lot more money. It’s very sturdy and well made, it’s really easy to assemble and comes with an extra support for deeper canvases. The wood has a lovely finish.

The product is generally satisfactory and not damaged which is a miracle considering the condition it was in when it arrived. The package arrived at my door in it’s box only with no packaging or padding anywhere and therefore the item was only protected by the it’s original cardboard box which was very battered and clearly had address labels to another customer in Edinburgh that were covered with blank labels so I don’t know if it was a return or cancellation but I was clearly the second person that the ‘package’ was addressed to. It wasn’t rocket science to finally figure out how to put it together but there were no instructions included and there were several components included in the assembly. The box had been re-sealed with clear tape which makes me think that there may have been instructions that were taken out at some stage and not put back in. It is for this reason that I have taken away one star and I think I am being generous in doing so as this product was a mess when I received it. First time ever that I have received an un-packaged order from Amazon.

I bought to take this to art classes – I have been using my caarier bag of paints etc to prop up my painting!
Easy to assemble. My brushes are kept in a separate brush wallet so I just need to carry my tubes of acrylic paint.
Can be used portrait or landscape – for the latter you need clips for out of doors painting. Will take quite a large canvas – see other reviews.
The sections inside the box are removable and I removed them to reveal plenty of space for my brush wallet and paints

I thought long and hard about buying an easel. I used to love to paint watercolours & considered starting up painting again but I have quite a number of creative hobbies on the go at the moment- would an easel just be a little luxury item I might barely use? I’d dropped enough hints to my husband last Christmas to no avail. With much optimism for glorious summer weather and quiet excitement I compared similar products & read every review going then plunged in and bought this Daler Rowney Edinburgh Table Easel.
Firstly I was absolutely delighted when my easel came literally within a matter of days, well within the quoted timescale. Secondly- I LOVE IT! My easel is sturdy & compact but can hold large watercolour paper no problem. I’m thrilled with the easel and have already spent many hours creating a few masterpieces (!) so it’s all good- painting is good for the soul…I’m in my happy place and loving it! I haven’t had any trouble with and of the fittings or screws and would definitely recommend it to all! If you are dithering just go for it. Make time for yourself and enjoy letting those creative juices flow!

Loved this, bought it for a trip to France, then forgot to bring it back when packing to return to the UK! Well made artist’s easel, with an extra piece of wood that can be used as a central support. Great for making you feel the part while sketching and painting landscapes, objects or people. Of course I plan to return to the villa to collect it next year!
In the mean time I bought a different one to use in the UK. I do think this Daler Rowney Edinburgh Tabel Easel is a slightly better model because of the extra central support. Both easels are really good value for money. Delivery was within two days, all parts present. No instructions but the packing has the pictures with all bits in the right place, so written instructions not needed.
