This House Plant book is really useful for my young daughter, who enjoys looking after her window plants. The book is well organised, easy to read and has good pictures, that make identifying plants relatively easy.
The information that the book provides, such as the conditions that a plant prefers, what to feed it etc is useful and easy to understand.
There are probably other books that go more in depth but for what I need, this book gives me all the information I require and does so in a logical way.

This house plant book is incredible! Amazing information about a ton of different plants (but also about propagation and much more of course) and the photos inside it are equally as amazing. The book itself is stunning too, so mine will have a proud spot right on our coffee table where it can be seen at all times.
Highly recommend!

I am a retired horticulturist and have never found better than RHS. My disabilities currently prevent me from doing any gardening so I have taken to house plants. A complete novice I have learnt all I need to keep what visitors to my home say are garden centre quality plants. All thanks to the help from these books which not only show you how to display them at their best and how they should be propagated but most importantly the conditions they need. From lighting to feeding, watering and misting. I even purchased the other House Plant version of this book to a friend starting out and looking to improve the quality of her plants. She is also finding it extremely useful. I would definitely recommend to the new as well as experienced plant hobbyists and professional. It is impossible however experienced you are to know everything about every plant so it is great to have his book at hand as a quick and easy reference guide!
This book packs so much accessible knowledge in 200+ pages! I read 3 books focused on caring for houseplants recently, this is clearly the best. The plant profiles cover most plants one would have in the house; I have 35 plants and 34 were covered (and the only one not covered is an odd succulent that needs same care as most succulents). I bought the book because I wanted a book that covers plant care well (many other books are more interior design focused); seeing many great interior design suggestions and cool plant projects ideas was a nice bonus! I’ll definitely check out other RHS books!

The book is incredibly well-organized, with sections dedicated to different types of cacti and succulents, their specific needs, and common problems they might face. The information is clear, concise, and easy to understand, even for a complete.

It provides how to design your indoor plants looks, plants informations, many ways to propagate, troubleshoot your indoor plants and many more. I really enjoy this book. Books from RHS never fail me.

The book covers over 330 different houseplant varieties, providing detailed care instructions, light and water requirements, and potential problems for each. This makes it a one-stop shop for information on almost any houseplant you could imagine

The book itself is beautifully designed – the vibrant pink and green illustrated cover makes a perfect addition to any coffee table or shelf. It’s also a good chunky substantial book which I hadn’t realised. Not only does it look pretty, it’s a great informative guide to all things house plant.
There are photographic examples throughout every page with tips and projects to create stunning plant arrangements, as well as helpful plant profiles with latin names. I especially like the ‘care and cultivation’ section as this gives the essential guidance on how to not only look after your house plants but help them thrive – understanding growth patterns, rules for watering and propagation. If I was being picky, I would say that some of the info in the plant profiles was a little off. It lists some very notoriously difficult plants as easy to care for, but perhaps this is subjective depending on how green fingered you are!
It also focuses on the aesthetics of house plants and how to style them in certain pots, colour theory etc. and so this would be a perfect read for those with keen interest in interior design too.
Overall, I absolutely love it and would also recommend as a thoughtful gift for plant lovers, and those with an interest in botany.

Provides good diagrams with what you need from individual items to places to locate the plants that you end up buying more plants but the right kind.
RHS House Plant: Practical Advice for All House Plants, Cacti and Succulents
Arrived without any wrapping or direct cover as its a hardback which survived the delivery process in normal amazon parcels.
When lifting, you can feel this is a sturdy and quality book as both the cover and pages have a nice weighty textured feel to them.
The sections are easy to navigate and you will end up browsing the “House Plant Projects” a few times as the descriptions, the “ingredients” (what plants you need), the tools and also what pots are well documented and well photographed that you can see that you can do this yourself easily. There are well written guides that you will end up following at least one of these and then before you know it, there is a 3 plant setup.
Having a few plants in the house, the guides on the individual plants also help remind you what and when to water or to re-pot.
A really clear and easy to understand guide on plants that covers everything you need from getting one to creating a display with your favourites….and making them last.
