My son enjoyed it but if we’d have known that this experience was in the backroom of a shopping park cafe 4 hours drive away its unlikely we would have booked this. Space Store makes a great little local activity but is really not worth making a long journey for. This could have been explained in the Virgin Experience advert to avoid over expectations of the activity taking place at some kind of space museum etc. Staff were great but I was left a little underwhelmed.

We took my daughter as a surprise for her 8th birthday and she loved every minute! My younger one didn’t want to do it at all, but even she ended up really enjoying some of the activities. We loved it too! Natalie was a lovely host and timed the activities perfectly. Would definitely recommend for anyone with an interest in space.

My two children, 9 and 7 absolutely loved this little day out. Lasted 2 hours and they were entertained every step of the way. The staff were lovely. In fact, this was my second attempt at taking the children and the first time I booked one of the kids fell ill, rebooting was no hassle at all and they were so understanding!!!. Thank you again. If you your little one, or big one, likes anything space related, don’t hesitate, go for it! And enjumoy! Even I learnt things I didn’t know!

I would leave 0 stars if possible. I paid £100 to be in dirty stinky fake space suits- which we couldn’t get out of quick enough, use a Samsung phone strapped to my head as a VR (even that stank), hold a few rocks and get given a tortilla wrap for lunch with a few spreads to put on it… With a capri-sun. We’ve been to many space-themed places both in the UK and the USA; this was the most fun. No spoilers, but everything you do is safe, fun, and informative. Natalie and Abbie were our guides and were charming and very knowledgeable, we didn’t feel rushed to move on to the next item – they had plenty of time for our questions. The café offers a good range of food and drink at reasonable prices and the gift shop does not have rip-off prices. In summary: Go here, do this!

We attended the Astronaut Experience for Two at Space Store in Didcot and it was amazing. There are multiple elements to the experience including: a VR headset that was sensational, an AR part that provided information on space exploration and you can dress up as an astronaut. We had such an amazing time, there is so much to learn, the person leading the session was knowledgeable, answered all our questions and my children had the best time. I would highly recommend this to anyone of any age!

The activities were led by Ruth who kept everyone engaged and was clearly very knowledgeable. All in all a really great day for anyone who has an interest in space .

We were told before we went that the store was small and we’d be on full view but when booking I was expecting it to be better. Lizzy did a good job with the resources available but we were disappointed. It’s not good value for money as it cost 150+ for the 3 of us. 9yro enjoyed it so best for kids really. If you’ve got a VR headset and space dress up outfit you could get a very similar experience from the comfort of your own home!

Booked through Virgin for my space loving family. Steve was super knowledgable and kept everyone entertained. I learnt so much myself in such a fun way. The VR experience was also fun as was the dressing up in space suits.
Tucked away in the covered market in Oxford. This is also lovely. If you’re looking for a personalised and intimate learning experience that is fun, would highly recommend.
