I just needed a wired headset for the Xbox Series S machine which is my secondary console as I couldn’t use the Sony ones for my PS5. These fit the bill, fit my head and are perfectly acceptable for the casual gamer not looking for the ultimate in sound quality and immersion. Seriously, they are good enough most of the time for most players in most scenarios.

These are still going strong! I made the purchase two years ago now and honestly these have lasted me a while. Microphone quality is excellent and they are comfy to wear. Overall a good budget headset.
What’s more impressive was the two year warranty i had with these, like i didn’t even know i had a two year warranty until i looked and saw they were still available to return/replace. That’s actually impressive, you get five stars for that alone. B

I’ve had these for many months now, I’ve tried a different turtle beach headset in past and broke in a week, but THIS particular 1 has surprised me to last me many months now, proven reliable, quality hasn’t deteriorated and the volume adjustment is behind left ear piece which I apsalutly love, I hated previous head sets when gaming and the arm drags the wheel on the wire, very comfortable but on a spare day after a whole day and a late night eventually ears do start to ack but I guess it’s what to expect, overall it’s a 10/10 for me, I’d be sure to get the same set when eventually it breaks. Highly Recommended although I got my brother the same set and he found the band on top added too much pressure to him (just needs wearing enough to get it to adapt)

This same headset is still lasting me very well and have not had any issues what so ever, highly durable and as i expected the head band does loosen up over time and does grow into comfort.
100% reccomend for people looking for quality and affordable.

Stopped working for Fortnite on Xbox. None of the fixes in their articles work, yet still strongly promoting this headset as great for Fortnite.
Assume they know there’s a problem as they are pumping out a lot of “fixes” for this issue on Twitter (again none of which have helped).
Also online support form doesn’t submit at the moment. Why not put up a message saying you aren’t accepting messages and save us the trouble of filling out a form only for the submit button not to work (tried in several different browsers too! what a waste of time!)
In short, don’t bother.
EDIT: Eventually got help from their support who were very helpful in getting them working. It was a fix that wasn’t in any of the online posts. I have increased the review score to reflect this.

This headset has been problematic for me on Xbox. It sometimes creates huge crackling sounds that are almost deafening, but I admit this is worse because of my beaten up controllers. However, the lack of a mute button or specific volume controls is so limiting. It only has a master volume wheel, which means you cannot control the party chat volume separately to the game volume without using the Xbox settings, which are themselves limiting. To mute this headset you must push the microphone arm up all the way, which is hugely inconvenient. Doing so means lots of noise for others in the chat as you smack the microphone to try and move it, and since it only mutes when pushed all the way up and once clicked in, it’s very easy to think you’re muted when the microphone is still on. The quality is pretty average compared to other headsets. Saying all this however, it does work, which is better than most headsets at this price range. Useful if you desperately need a set, but I would save for a better quality item if intended for long term use

I bought this to just play online with friends and it’s kept me going for ages I get a lot of use out of them and they still work just great. I’ve literally just bought the Arctis 7x which are much more expensive, but the Recon 70X we’re good and worked just fine on PS, Xbox, Switch and in work calls. The sound quality isn’t bad, fine for this price range, however if you want to get more immersive audio for this new generation of consoles then you’ll definitely want to look at the more expensive options
