A little difficult if you don’t have an extensive knowledge of actors and films.

As a lifelong movie nerd, I’ve played tons of movie games over the years from Trivial Pursuit to Scene It and never found quite what I was looking for. Enter Cinephile: A Card Game. With 150 cards and multiple ways to play, this is truly the ultimate game for film nerds, movie geeks and cinephiles. There are five different ways to play (from popular staples like Six Degrees and Filmography) to a variety of Remixes (like the Tarantino-inspired Inglourious Basterd) available on the official website.
The artwork from illustrator Steve Isaacs is beautiful and worthy of framing on your wall, and the film and actor choices are constantly surprising and go well beyond the typical canon. With more expansion packs on the way, it’s hard to see me ever getting tired of playing this wonderful game.
Full disclosure: I am the creator but that doesn’t make any of the above any less true. Thanks for playing!

Yellow images on white background makes games a bit tricky to play. A shame as it is otherwise a fun small gift.

Absolutely love this game, genius idea. Doubt I’ll ever lose at it though 😅

The more you play it the more you learn so the more often you win.
Great games for 2 or more players and easy to adapt to the skills of the current players.

Idea originale. Ottimo regalo per appassionati di cinema. 150 carte con altrettanti attori e film. Più di un gioco possibile: associazioni, indovina più titoli… Veramente originale. In futuro c’è la possibilità che vengano prodotte espansioni.

I’m so excited to play this! It’s nice to have a film game that isn’t specific trivia questions that are quite hard to answer.
Plus because there are a few ways to play this it’ll entertain us for longer, also a bonus it’s easy to carry around for travelling.
I might be naughty and redraw some of the cards into actors I know better because some of them I only know from their one famous film and people I do know have been left off the cards. Love that they included David Bowie though.
