Loved the poster to start with. Like many, the foil never scratched off perfectly but it wasn’t bad enough that it affected our enjoyment of the poster. Unfortunately, after 8 months the foil has completely dried down so that it cannot be scratched off without damaging the picture underneath. Luckily the poster was only slightly torn up before we saw that nail varnish remover works, and that trick means we can still use the poster if we can be bothered with the hassle each time.

The box it arrived in (not the amazon packaging, the actual box that came with the poster) was beaten up looking and dog-eared at the corners. The poster itself was decent quality, but the scratch-off areas are very waxy and difficult to scratch off (not at all like a scratch card you would get in the shop). Hard to get it scratched off completely and look clean if I’m being honest.

Ich habe meinem Freund dieses Poster zum Jahrestag geschenkt und es war bisher das günstigste und beste Geschenk für ihn. Wir gucken jeden Film zusammen. Er hat bisher schon viele Filme gesehen und ich eher weniger, trotzdem sind auch einige Klassiker dabei, die er sich vorher nicht angeguckt hätte, über die er aber im Nachhinein sagt, dass das super Filme sind. Ähnlich ist es bei mir. Ich war vorher nie an den Klassikern interessiert, bin aber froh, sie durch dieses Poster entdecken zu können. Like others I saw a number of negative reviews for this however ploughed on regardless and thank god I did. This was to be a gift and it arrived well packaged. Upon unrolling it was in excellent condition and is of good quality and thickness. Having read the reviews we decided to mount this directly onto a frame back with a small amount of PVA glue to give it some structure to help with the scratch off. Apart from one minor hiccup, which was our fault as we attempted to scape before the glue had fully dried, all the boxes have come off well with a penny. Obviously if you are ham fisted and press to hard, like with an average scratch card, you risk compromising the detail underneath but thankfully we have common sense so this has not been a problem. All in all I think this is a great gift, just take some time to consider how you want to display it before you jump in for the scratching.
