As a long time ‘Hot Ones’ fan and a hot sauce lover, naturally I wanted to try the fabled Da Bomb – the sauce that contestants struggle with the most. Opening the lid you’re met with a slightly chemically pepper scent that hits your senses immediately. Now this is a hot sauce. One tiny dab on the end of a finger will engulf your mouth in flames, and it builds and builds into a seemingly never ending heat. But there is no flavour, the heat feels artificial in nature.
I had a fair dollop with a kebab, and even with frequent dipping I just about managed to keep in check. Don’t get me wrong, it’s hot. But the heat tails off quicker than I anticipated and honestly doesn’t match the hype surrounding the sauce. It’s unpleasant to eat with, but as a party piece or challenge sauce, it has a place in my opinion. While I’ve not really had anything that delivers an ‘immediate’ heat like this does, I have certainly had hotter dishes and sauces that really have a sustained heat.

This sauce is hot. Way spicier than the 135k scoville rating would lead you to believe. I have tried many hot sauces and this really takes the crown. Most people will not be able to handle it and even I, and I really like very spicy, only use a few drops in my food. The taste is extremely peppery and there are no real other flavours. I actually like that, as I hate the vinegary taste of a lot of other sauces. I have occasionally put to.much in my food, as the thick sauce can come out in a blob and that really gets the hiccups and sweat glands going.
If the only sauces you have tried are tabasco and sriracha, you should stay well away from this sauce.
Update: I have now tried “The Last Dab XXX as well as Apollo” and Da Bomb is hotter for sure. I do like the last Dab sauces as they taste better, but just don’t deliver the same heat (although listed as 2 million scoville).

Firstly, I would start off by saying this is personally not a sauce I would use for cooking. I have added a drop of this to a noodle dish and it did nothing but made the stomach feel uncomfortable and add some burnage.
I would, however, recommend for a hot sauce challenge. Me and some friends love the Hot Ones YouTube show, so recreated our own version. I bought a hot sauce set off Amazon to save some cash, but also added this for the finale. The other sauces were tasty – if a little sameish in a set that was around £20 – but Da Bomb was another level.
Reduced four grown men to tears, two of which love hot sauce/ spice generally.
It’s defo worth it for the fun/ drama of a contest, but don’t expect to enjoy the flavour!

It delivers the promise of being the most painful and terrible sauce. The flavour is not good, but is definetly the spiciest sauce we have ever tried. We use it to challenge friends, its a fun experience.

I bought this for a game for our student ministry. This was one of the most fun games that my students loved! Everyone wanted to try this hot sauce, but of course we told everyone that they needed to have a waiver/parental permission to do so.
Flavor is NOT great, but it is one of the hottest hot sauces you can find as a punishment!

Ive had sauces over 1 million scoville units and were not as hot as this!
The flavour is actually way nicer than people say! Its simular to other very hot chili sauces (ghost, scorpion, reaper), but man its hot!
Even though the worst of th3npai creaps up on you and has staying power, it is also very hot to start with!
I gave 1/4 of a teaspoon to some friends they were in pain for over 20 mins!
If you puve heat or to prank froends this isbthe stuff!!
If you have a weak stomach AVOID!!! you will be on the toilet for the whope night and next day. Lol.

This is the exact same product used in The Hot Ones Youtube videos. Whilst it’s technically not as hot on the scoville range as other hot sauces, this one packs a very different type of punch.
