I recently bought the Hogwarts Castle LEGO set, and I think it’s an excellent value. When you compare the number of pieces to the price, it’s one of the best deals out there. Building it took me about 7 evenings, dedicating 1-2 hours each evening. The set was divided into 22 bags, making the assembly process smooth and manageable. Each bag took around 30-50 minutes to complete, allowing me to split the work into shorter, very doable sessions.
Before buying, I was worried the set might have repetitive elements, as it seemed from the picture. But while building, I didn’t feel this way at all. When following the instructions, it felt quite balanced – with no tedious repetition of the same pieces. I was engaged and never bored throughout the process.
The finished set looks stunning on my shelf, but I have mixed feelings about the extra chambers beneath the castle. Since this set is a miniature, these chambers lack detail and seem a bit out of place to me. Without the booklet, I might not have recognized what these rooms were meant to be. The same goes for the additional elements like the Durmstrang ship and Beauxbatons Carriage. Their size and placement don’t quite match the scale of the castle, which feels a bit unnatural.
Despite these points, the castle and the grounds look truly great and I would definitely recommend this set to any Harry Potter fan, whether you want to build it yourself or gift it to someone else.

Not much to say other than it’s a fantastic Lego set. My son took a few days to build it but it looks great. Very happy with it and now on display in his bedroom. A must for any Harry Potter fan!

It’s so detailed with lot of secret rooms and the ground are just as impressive. We have this in our living room as an ornament now it’s built it looks that good. I can see us having problems with the kids wanting to play with it 🙂 but we’ll cross that bridge when we come to it!
Really fun build and absolutely superb result at the end. I think the galleon is my favourite bit.

Yes Lego is very expensive considering the amount of brick competition out there nowadays but, imho, it is still the best… ease of assembly, wow, a very complex model highly detailed, sometimes the instruction colours are a little unclear but that could be my age and eyes… it is typical Lego, well thought out, well designed and well made.

I bought this as a birthday present for my 12 year old son. It was challenging for him, but a good challenge, and he was delighted to complete it. The actual design is fantastic, and with 2,660 pieces it provides hours of building entertainment. Good value for Lego too.

Lots of details in this set, good to see all the main buildings of the castle represented.
Would of been nice to include the Owlery & Hagrids Hun though.
Disappointed that the windows of the great hall are grey and not multi colours like the other set.

Das Set hat richtig Spaß gemacht zu bauen. Viele kleine Erläuterungen zum Gebäude haben dem ganzen noch zusätzlich Leben eingehaucht. Sehr detailliert und das Ergebnis ist schön und richtig schwer 😁

Bought for a HP fan at Christmas. Wasn’t cheap (but Lego never is), however was on a Prime Day deal and Amazon actually credited me with the difference when the price dropped further!
This Lego set is a challenging but satisfying 6-8 hour build, probably for older children (12yrs +) to adults.
The final result has tons of mini dioramas from the movies and looks good from whichever way round you look at it.
When completed, it is not ridiculously sized and could sit quite happily on display, on a deep bookshelf or windowsill.
Great fun build!
