Several friends and I individually purchased the 8 bottle gift selection and proceeded to have a ‘zoom tasting party’ as we made our way through the various flavours. This worked best to have 1 box between 2 people, as otherwise you’d be quite messy by the time you had your 8th double measure of gin. Having said that, one friend did open each bottle and poured a single measure, while capping it up to retain the other measure for later.
The various flavours were all interesting and some were definitely better than others. The standard gin was quite nice, but the overwhelming favourite of the night was the Quince flavour, followed by the Parma Violet.
Doing a bit of research before hand, from a few various sources, I learned that some of these don’t necessarily work well as a standard Gin and Tonic. My notes on what to mix them with were:
Original Dry – Tonic
Rhubarb & Ginger -Soda or ginger ale
Pink Grapefruit – Tonic
Raspberry – Soda water (muddled some fresh raspberries and a tsp of sugar if you have it)
Parma Violet – straight on the rocks, tonic, or prosecco
Quince – Soda water
Blood Orange – Tonic
Blackberry – Tonic

It was a gift and unfortunately the seller did not offer the gift option. The item arrived a day earlier than expected and I am told the gins were lovely.

It’s a lot longer and bigger than I expected but not a bad surprise! The PERFECT gift – my parents loved them

Great value compared with High Street (£25 v £28) and terrific range of gins to try but with eight to try there are bound to be some you like more than others but fun trying. Remember alcohol needs to be received by >18 year old on delivery so you need to be in, can’t be left on doorstep.

This set is good value for your buck, it was a lot more expensive on other sites.. I bought it as a gift for a friend’s 40th and made them up in a hamper along with 2 nice gin glasses. They loved it.
