Product arrived on time. It did have that strong smell that people have talked about in reviews but the box is in my kitchen and I can only smell it if I stick my nose in the box. Arrived exactly as it said it would other than that.
Had a small issue with my instructions emailed the seller and within 10 minutes had a nice response and a pdf version of them in my inbox ( that’s good customer service)
Started by planting two trees so I could learn from my mistakes and expecting to fail. Two weeks latter I had a small sapling? Growing in one and the other has just went in the fridge so 50% success rate before it even gets to the fridge I’m happy with that. Even if that’s all I get I’ll still be happy cause I got at least one bonsai for £15.
Like a lot of the population I like a good moan and was trying to justify giving a lower score but to be fair there was no justification.
Update out of the 5 I planted last year I got two good healthy trees out of it well chuffed

I ordered this primarily for the Chinese wisteria seeds as it looks very beautiful as a bonsai. When it arrived, the packaging was in very good shape and the items you receive look and feel very nice.
My only issue with this set is that the box comes in a set of 5 for everything (or doubled up to 10) which means you don’t really get a pot of soil for the bonus pack of wisteria. Easy enough to sort out, but I think it might be improved with just one extra pot and soil block. And if you screw one up, it’s a little difficult to know what other kind of soil you should get and where from if you’re a beginner.
The instructions for the wisteria was also a little confusing, as they work differently to the other seeds but I soon cleared up my confusion by checking the question and answer section on this page. So check there for anything you’re unsure about.
The customer service, however, is super great! I had an issue with something and when I contacted the seller to ask about a solution, they helped me out and now I’m on my way to getting my bonsais that I’ve ways liked.

Venditore molto gentile e disponibile, l’ho contattato per delle informazioni / richieste specifiche su delle sementi non solo mi ha risposto positivamente ma ha anche aggiunto dei semi extra che non era tenuta a fare.
Come idea regalo è molto carino, semplice ma efficace, contiene tutto quello che serve per iniziare da zero (unica cosa è che contiene un solo vaso premium e manca secondo me di alcuni attrezzi che sarebbe stato bello avere inclusi e che sono effettivamente presenti in un altro kit sempre dello stesso venditore). Inoltre la forbice per potare è leggermente storta (non so se sia normale) e all’inizio è un po’ dura, forse serve usarla per del tempo per “ammorbidirla” un po’.
Le istruzioni (anche in italiano ) sono brevi e semplici, unico difetto forse che sono troppo semplici, per cui danno per scontate alcune cose che magari una persona più esperta può sapere (e a cui ho trovato risposta nei commenti), come ad esempio se bisogna innaffiare durante il periodo di propagazione (risposta: si se il terreno inizia a seccarsi troppo) o se i semi germogliano prima della stratificazione a freddo se bisogna comunque effettuare il processo (risposta: no). Cose abbastanza semplici ma per un neofita (come me) potrebbe essere meglio avere qualche dettaglio in più.
Parlando invece della cosa più importante, ovvero le sementi. Devo dire che tra tutti i kit che ho cercato questo è il più particolare secondo me, con 6 varietà diverse tra cui il Glicine Cinese (che è in realtà il motivo per cui ho preferito questo kit agli altri).
Inoltre ero preoccupato perchè alcune recensioni, anche di altri kit, dicevano che i semi non germogliavano, io al momento ho piantato solo 4 semi di glicine (come prima prova) in data 11/07/2020 e quello in foto è il risultato dopo neanche 10 giorni. Ovviamente non posso parlare per tutte le sementi dato che non le ho ancora piantate ma come inizio è molto incoraggiante.
Come valutazione finale per me è molto positiva, con alcune cose che potrebbero essere migliorate ma come punto di partenza è veramente ottimo e funzionale.

Also ich habe an dem Produkt nichts auszusetzen. Alle Bestandteile waren dabei, komplett. Sie machen einen soliden Eindruck, keine Billigware. Meines Erachtens ist alles dabei, was man für eine Bonsai-Zucht braucht. Wie gut die Teile nun wachsen, weiß ich natürlich noch nicht – habe gerade erst losgelegt

Alles was versprochen war ist auch angekommen, und von dem Benzingeruch über den sich viele beschweren war bei meiner Lieferung auch nichts zu riechen. Der einzige Nachteil den ich jetzt sehen kann ist dass alles lose im Paket rumfliegt. Wie gut bzw. ob die Pflanzen wachsen kann ich noch nicht sagen, ich werde mich in einigen Monaten aber nochmal mit einem Update. melden

I really have had a lot of fun with this kit and am happy to recommend it to anyone looking for a starter kit to give Bonsai a go. I did half the kit in January, 5 pots and half the supplied seeds and while I’ve not seen great results, I knew it wouldn’t be easy. I’ve had growth in Italian Cypress and Judas Tree and nothing from the others, but I suspect that’s my fault for trying it in January when everything is just a bit cooler than perhaps these trees need.
I’ve just done the other half so will hope for a richer harvest, but if I only get a few, I’m actually OK with that, I know it’s not always easy to get a lot.
I’m rating 5 stars because the kit is very well presented, instructions are clear and easy to follow, the whole thing feels good quality and is a lot of fun to do, I imagine it’d be an enjoyable thing with kids too. The company seem very competent and enthusiastic to help (see the questions section above) and they sent a complementary packet of Chinese Wisteria seeds too (which I misread and put in the fridge, apparently thus killing them – my fault entirely!).

If I’m being at all picky, as a graphic designer I’d say the seed label text is very small.

A really good idea, well boxed and instructions very clear. But after everything followed to the letter, I got only two trees. One is growing fantastically, the other is not doing well at all. The rest are a complete no show.
I used to run a wholesale plant nursery, it’s fair to say I know a little about growing plants and trees from seed. Following the instructions I was not convinced that it was the correct way to grow these, but as I am not an expert on bonsai I thought it best just to do as it said. Very disappointed I did not follow my gut and grow them my way.
The irony is, it’s the one free seed that has grown the best.
