      Conforme à la description

All component parts are accurately laser cut and easy to push from the plywood sheets.
Fitting the parts together feels smooth and positive and the assembly instructions are adequate. All in all an excellent way to fill a few hours.

Very interesting Kit relatively easy to assemble parts are easily separated from the main board, and works well when finished

My ten year old daughter and I had a great deal of fun building this. The instructions are very clear but must be followed precisely or you’ll run into problems. I do question the 8+ age recommendation though as my daughter, who is a whiz with all things mechanical, had to ask for help at certain points and some of the parts took adult strength to fit. She now has her sights set on some of the more advanced models. Fantastic teaching tool for kids and adults alike and we can’t wait to build more.

The kit consists of four wooden panels pre-cut by laser with press-out pieces. In addition there are rubber bands and wax to lubricate moving parts, and an easy to follow instruction book. The completed machine can count by operating a ‘plunger’ or by turning a wheel, and can be reset to zero (or to any number) by opening the front, which disengages the number wheels from their gears, enabling them to be turned independently. I don’t know how long it will last, but it seems quite sturdy and even has rubber feet under it (made from a rubber band). Only negatives is some parts can be quite hard to press out (there is a tool provided), and it takes quite a bit of pressure to press some of the parts together. Also, eventually the rubber bands (that act like springs) will eventually decay and break, I expect. (It would probably be possible to repair it if this did happen). But worth 5 stars as an entertaining puzzle as well as educational.

I bought this clock just to show my customers how the pallets work.

Något ostadig när den var färdig, men kanske felet ligger hos mig?

I think the age rating of 8+ is optimistic, I imagine a lot of 8 year olds would struggle to assemble this on their own. I helped assemble this with a 11 year old and we enjoyed it and the finished item was satisfying and worked correctly. But many of the parts are hard to assemble, and will require a lot of perseverance, and breaking one piece could be the end of it. So I would recommend it for 8+ where there is an adult to help when needed. But some adults might enjoy this as a gift also.

I like the way the model tumbles about when I press the plunger. It makes the decision more believable than tossing a dice 😀 It has NO and LATER to allow me to not do something every time but YES and DO IT NOW also come up!
I found I needed to do a little sanding and be consciencious with the waxing, it is not a beginner model. I haven’t stuck mine together with glue yet but I might to avoid problems as bits loose up with use. Okay for me – who’d trust something that was too easy?!

I got this as a gift for a young lady(15) who is interested in engineering. I thought it would spark her interest in how mechanical things work. I served as a mentor in the assembly of the model and had great fun watching her excitement as she discovered the secrets of a pendulum movement and how they relate to a clock. It was also fun to see her come to understand the necessity of precision work. Great fun for anyone who wants to encourage a young person to get involved with things mechanical!
I rated the easy of assembly a 3 because it does take some technique to put it together and make it work. I would not give this to a young person and leave them on their own to figure it out. It needs a model builder to help and guide the young person. I will buy others and after the first one, I plan on being there to help when asked, but be more hands off to build their confidence. This kit is an excellent teaching moment.

I got this for my 9 year old niece for her birthday. I’ll say i was really impressed by the quality of the pieces and the instructions. She also really liked it.

My only issue with it was that it was too hard for my niece to assemble it. It needed too much force to push the pieces in their places. I, a 30+ year old, had to push/squeeze hard to get the pieces in. I did enjoy it though, and i think anyone who enjoys DIY and handcrafts would enjoy it.
