Na Aeropress eu faço o despejo de água de uma só vez e aguardo o tempo de infusão, diferentemente do V60, em que os despejos de água são feitos em etapas. A limpeza é super prática. Easy to clean, it doesn’t require much effort to make coffee. The only recommendation I can add is to buy an adapter like the Fello Prismo for Aeropress that allows you to put alittle more pressure on the press, since the original Aeropress adapter is not very good for that, if you are looking for a good shot of coffee.

It took me a little while to get used to it. It does take a bit more effort to make the coffee but the cleaning and disposal of used grounds is so easy and clean that, overall, it is the easiest and quickest way to make a single mug or two cups of coffee. The coffee is excellent and is without the bitter taste you can get with some methods. I like fairly sweet, white coffee but I can see myself going over (at least sometimes) to unsweetened black coffee made by this process. The filters are ridiculously cheap (a little over 2p each) they come out stuck to one side of a compressed pellet of dead coffee grounds that can go straight in the bin or compost. Definitely a good buy.

Really good coffee maker that is much easier to clean than a cafetière and produces better flavoured coffee.
So, why 4 stars . Two reasons, firstly it’s really overpriced and replacement own brand filters are daylight robbery. Also more importantly the best way to use it is not the way it was designed for. As recommended by the manufacturer, most of the water goes straight through the filter, producing a weak brew. The best way is the inversion method which is then not as easy as it should be. Having said that, you really can make a really good cup of coffee.

I like my coffee but did not like the mess and aggrivation of a French press or cost and reliability issues of machines. Having seen this used I decided this was the ideal solution for me. Quick and easy to use and simple to clean, whilst offering excellent tasting coffee. No maintenance issues and takes up no room. Simply put filter pap in the cap, screw onto main body add ground coffee and water, leave for 30 seconds and push plunger for great espresso. To clean, untwist cap and push plunger down to remove filter and compacted grounds into a bin, then just wash. Simplest things are often the best and I would say this is one of them.
