I researched for a bird feeder with camera very I am so pleased I settled on this one my wifi signal was not the best but this camera gives great pictures clear and bright the app is also excellent I look forward each day to see what comes to feed. The after sales is also excellent they answered all my questions quickly an with everything I wanted to know
I have no hesitation in giving this 5 stars

Super camera (see pic), easy connect and very stable wi-fi. The night vision is confined to the tray, nothing can be discerned further than the platform/tray with the night vision, although changing to white light does give greater viewable area. Not that its much use at night, I am sure that all the night feeders in the UK are in fact carnivorous or ground feeders, so there is little use having a seed feeder with night vision? – apart from a security aspect which is not what the setup is designed for, but it is easy to spot an intruder should one come into the range of the PIR during daylight. I haven’t used the notification, I think it would be intrusive once the birds find the feeder – we have rather a lot using our ‘facilities’.
Under some natural lighting conditions, flicking between white light and infra-red, I found the camera actually settled on a good compromise, but the ambient light needs to be right and the effect only lasts a short period. I am also not happy with the size of the overhang on the roof, the vertical distance between the platform and the roof gives very little cover to the seed stock in the tray should there be rain or snow, The tray does have adequate drainage holes. The squirrels have a free run at feeding for which I have no suggestions on prevention for this feeder.

The App is very well put together with loads of information and lots of control but the paid for aspect can easily be left in abeyance for if or when the need is there, everything operates smoothly without it. Photos and video are saved to the supplied card.
I do think the feeder is overpriced, especially when trail cams and feeders can be purchased separately for a lot less.
But it is a very convenient package with a very good camera and the Wi-Fi connection makes for easy viewing from a comfortable chair. Despite my niggles I am going with three stars and I hope the squirrels don’t develop a liking for plastic.

I love nature and birds! You can imagine my surprise when my daughter purchased this for me as an early Mother’s Day gift. Needless to say I was excited and this bird cam did not disappoint !!! The camera is amazing with great quality photos and videos. And it’s metal not plastic! Everything is plastic anymore but it’s obvious this will last a long time and withstand the weather here in Missouri! Easy to operate and the accompanying app is easy!! Keeps charged at 100% with the solar panel. I’m truly in love!!

I bought this camera for myself as a birthday present. It has worked great! Wi-Fi setup was easy, the app is easy to navigate, the video looks great and the sound is clear. I loved that this video feeder came with the solar panel so I don’t have to worry about charging it. I posted this feeder on a 94″ pole and it works great. The video library on the app is on a calendar and sorted by day. AI detection, smart push, and cloud storage are a must if you really want to get the most out of this feeder. This feeder also has a generous size for bird seed as well. So far I have seen some cardinals, brown-headed cowbirds, house finches, goldfinches, titmice, Carolina wrens, nuthatches, Carolina chickadees, etc.

All-in-all, I am very glad I went with this feeder over all the other brands I looked at. I would recommend it for being so simple to setup and having a quality app and video.

If you’re a little bit of a bird spots along myself then having a camera that is able to monitor birds seems like the ideal solution and we’re on previous cameras that I’ve had I wasn’t able to capture any divert’s properly as I never managed to get it in the perfect position without putting it in front of a bird feeder and that just got in their way. This is the ideal solution as it has a specific set of so that the camera is right in front of where the birds will feed feed as well as being able to record each and every time that’s it sees a bird or even a squirrel coming near.

Images and video we get off this are crystal clear and helped us identify virtually every single bird that comes into our garden except for the larger ones who don’t go anywhere near the bird feeder but we’ll have to find a different solution for that in particular.

Just fair warning you will get a ridiculous amount of footage and pictures from this so keep that in mind and you’ll be extremely surprised on what you actually see.

I’d seen a few people on Facebook post photos or videos and asked around, found that one person was using Soliom Bird feeder and thought I’d give it a try. It was very easy to put together except for attaching the roof. It takes time to line up the rod under the roof into the hole in the front face, but once it is there and screwed in, it is solid. This might be more of an issue refilling depending on where we finally install the birdfeeder.

I love the solar panel, we’ve had ours in use for about a week during spring weather and the battery is still at 99%. There is a port on the back for quick charging the camera, so I think taking a chargable battery out and hooking it up will be simple to recharge without bringing the bird house back inside.

I was concerned about how much seed can fit in, it has a lot of room, it is large and sturdy, the camera fits inside and takes up some room, but there is still plenty of room.

Construction is metal and you can hear the birds poking at the metal trying to pick through the seeds.

Coolest feature is the sending of notifications to my phone and the AI (with a subscription) that identifies the birds. The AI I think is work in progress, and they give you a place to provide feedback so I’m sure this will improve in time. I just didn’t realize how many different birds or bird species we were helping. We see birds in the front yard all the time, but now we can actually keep track of how many are visiting. I’ve even see a few birds be a bit more aggressive and scare away others.

The quality of the image if fantastic and making me consider switching from my Blink outdoor cameras to Soliom.

Highly recommend, now I’m thinking about getting the humming bird feeder!

I found the Soliom bird feeder to be very robust and easy to install.
I love watching the birds come to feed. It’s appearance fits in with garden and
Hopefully it will last for many years. Be careful to check you have a reasonable Wi-Fi
Signal where you install it. Good value for a quality product, and great unusual gift idea.

Wow! First impressions are everything. First thing that caught my attention was how well this unit is made. Lots of metal parts in places where you would want to see them. It shows immediately that this unit was made well and to last and contains features that should really cost more.

After going through all the packing, I quickly put the unit together. The manual is a little lacking in identifying where to put the included SD card but quickly sorted it out. After charging the feeder with the provided usb-C cable I downloaded the application onto my phone and began the process of connecting the camera to my network. Again, this was pretty straight forward and went without a hitch.

Unfortunately the AI tool referred to does require a separate subscription. While this sounds like a big negative it really isn’t. Since you already have photos of the birds that will be visiting your feeder, you can simply use things such as Google Lens and get the same results.

Be sure to load the correct app (QR code provided). I also have a SLOIUM security camera and the apps are different. It would be nice if they were the same, but it isn’t a show stopper.

      PROS:
      • Quality if the camera and the included accessories far exceeded my expectations.
      • Image quality is excellent – doubles as a security camera
      • HD/SD image resolution is selectable in the app
      • Well written app supporting the camera and providing many user options
      • Provided solar array should keep your camera running for years

      CONS:
      • The AI app referred to actually requires a separate subscription
      • The camera will generate a LOT of notifications to your phone unless you adjust the settings in the app
      • Some confusion between the SOLIOM + and SOLIUM Pro apps

Don’t hesitate getting this bird feeder. If you love birds like I do, this feeder allows you to get up close and personal virtually effortlessly. It makes the perfect gift for older folks and children alike. Who knows, you might even learn a few things about our feathered friends. I’ll update this review once our feeder is found and post some photos taken by it.

Really glad I bought this smart bird feeder from Solium.
      Very good build quality.
Metal casing which should stop the squirrels from chewing and recking this bird feeder.
Really easy to install and get the feeder up and running.
      Video quality very good
      Battery life excellent.
Bird identify seems spot on upto now.
Definitely recommended if your looking for a smart bird feeder.

Do not NOT buy this! It is making my long winter a joy to behold. I did a lot of research and was almost wooed into buying a smaller plastic feeder. I am so glad I found this feeder. Some notes…

Install: This feeder is hefty and squirrels will not be a problem. It holds alot of seed. It was fairly easy to install. We placed it against a shed to protect it from the wind. The instructions are sparse. Yet, even with our limited tech savvy, we had it working in less than 15 minutes.

Images: the image quality is outstanding, even in low light. The video I included is a dark snowy day and the images are still clear. On sunny days, the detail on the birds’ feathers, feet and beak are mesmerizing. I am a photo nut and I like to convert video to still photos, which requires a higher res. I am able to do this regularly. Want a picture of a little bird holding a huge peanut? This will do it.

Family affair: My family- who never showed an interest in birds are curious and learning about our feathered friends now. I place the live feed on and just watch as I read, cook, first wake up, etc. The microphone is powerful as well and we were able to identify an Eastern Screech Owl off camera from a recording.

iPhone use: I hear the custom bird chime on my phone indicating a bird is on my feeder often. It tells me a bird is dining. My husband gets notified too. It chimes so often now I have to put it on sleep mode during meetings. The AI feature is either so right or comically wrong.

      Protips:
It took two full weeks for the birds to find it. Be patient. Place seed on the ground below. And wait.

Use a high quality “no mess” food. This is so important. I used a bargain brand at first and had no luck. If you use a low quality feed, the birds will land, find a seed and fly away to peck it open. My seed has shelled peanuts, sunflowers, etc and they stay and gorge. My birds get crumbs all over their beaks and look hysterical- I never knew they ate like that.

Place the smart feeder with your regular feeder behind it and you will be able to see your regular feeder too from a distance.

I use Cornell Ornithology AP and Audubon apps in conjunction with the bird feeder – but I am a bird nerd.

Buy it. Good luck. I gotta go check my feed now – it’s been 15 minutes writing this review and I missed three sightings!!

If you love your garden birds, this is a great way to watch your little feathered friends. The camera delivers very clear pictures and I like how you can watch back on the app what birds have visited the feeder throughout the day. Love it!
