Howard was slightly off focus I would say; he mentioned this was his third zoom of the day so perhaps that was why, but he was a little slow for us – perhaps because our time zone is 1 hr later, we didn’t want to waste any time with unrelated chit chat. But he was lovely as a person – very easy going and encouraging.

This was such a fun thing to do. Was something different to do on a weekend and a great date night. The class was tough but Rosie helped us along the way when we got stuck. My husband bought me the Bake with a Legend as a birthday treat.
It was a well planned session, lots of useful information and both relaxed but structured.
The recipe ahead of time allowed time to shop for ingredients, cooking along together on the day.
Baking in real time meant that you could check every step of the way.

At first a little uncomfortable as never been in a zoom meeting before but got more at ease and started to enjoy the experience.
I was surprised that there were 22 people baking together mostly from USA but managed to make caramel eclairs which were tasty although misshapen.

Last night we did our first ever on line baking class. Many thanks to Howard and the backroom team for such an enjoyable experience. The ingredients list arrived in good time along with the method. We weighed out before the session which made it easier for the actual presentation. The kitchen still smelt of Christmas this morning.
