Yeah this is great, not like a lot of the science ones you see that just aren’t as advertised. This has all the stuff that does the experiments advertised.
kids around this age can be clumsy and also a bit too intrigued so I would make sure to supervise. You will find you actually enjoy it yourself

Some plastic beakers and glasses you really don’t need just trying to justify the price tag, probably better buying a book and getting the ingredients yourself

Haven’t opened the kit yet. But, if you are giving this as a gift to a child, be aware that the box doesn’t look magical and exciting as it does in the picture. The “potions” are covered up by a massive black box containing white WARNING text, on both the front and back of the box. I have had to print out the picture from this listing to include with the gift.

Bought this for my grand-daughter’s 8th birthday and she was thrilled and couldn’t wait to start experimenting. Some adult supervision will be needed but she’ll have great fun with this set and probably learn something too. She’d told me a few months ago that she never gets any ‘sciency’ things like her brothers do so it seemed ideal for her.
