Sturdy, but lid is too heavy for squirrels to lift and make it stay open. I have seen it come down on one of them making him trapped inside as he couldn’t re-open it. When it rains the lid is also much heavier as the wood absorbs water.

Really happy with the squirrel feeder, the only downside is that the booklet that came with it is in a foreign language which is useless for me.
Amazon, if you haven’t got the right booklet for the person who ordered the squirrel feeder don’t add it with the order or better still have a section on the order page where the customer can choose what language they want it in.

Doesn’t hold much food sadly, I use for feeding 2 squirrels in my garden , mainly walnuts, hazel nuts and almonds all in shells, this box only capable of housing peanuts , which don’t last long enough with the two

Was happy with the product at first, took about 2 weeks for the lid to snap into two pieces, the lid is not one whole piece of wood it’s sections glued together, very poor.
