Headset is beautiful 😍 , it’s not too heavy and is very comfortable on the ears. In the box is the following: The headset, the wireless receiver, a USB charging cable, an audio cable if you prefer a wired connection and instructions.
The headset has 2 hidden microphones, so no more mics getting the way or having to fold them out the way aswell. The headset seems very well made aswell. It’s strong plastic and has an auto adjustable inner rubber strap (see pic) which adjusts to the shape of your head for maximum hold and comfort.
The speakers sit on the outside of the ear and when I put them on just to see how they fit, I noticed they reduced alot of the outside noise. This is promising for gaming as when sound is coming through the speakers, you know you won’t be interrupted by background noise. These are built for optimal gaming sound. They feel soft and spongy and have a leather style outer material. They are really soft and comfortable on the ears. The headsets are made with 3D audio aswell. If your not sure what this means, to put it simply, say for example your playing a game and your sat on a chair for example and someone walks all the way around you. The speakers will play the sound as it would sound in real life with the footsteps moving around you rather than just blasting it directly into your ears, the sound “moves” as it does in real life. The speakers will be immerse you in the game and it allows you to hear everything and what direction it’s coming from. It really is brilliant.
As for the price £89.99 is really fair for the quality. Alot of people were expecting this to be much higher priced but Sony have done good with the prices of the accessories. It really is worth picking one of these up to go with your amazing new PS5 (I can’t wait for mine to arrive, only 1 week to go! 😲)
Thank you for taking the time to read my review and I hope this was helpful to you 🥰

I have had my eye on these since before the PS5 launched but I wasn’t quick enough off the mark so missed out on the first lot.
Upon them coming back into stock a few days ago I decided to jump in, and seeing that reviews have generally been favourable I was looking forward to them.
On the whole I have not been disappointed but upon unboxing them I was slightly surprised. Although they are clearly trying to follow the aesthetic of the PS5 itself, I find them pretty ugly and a bit dorkish in comparison to my Steelseries Arctis 7 headset.
Generally they feel well built, if a bit on the plasticky side, but they are comfortable. I’ve used them for many hours and can confidently say they stay comfortable even for extended hours.
Slightly suspect looks aside, performance is where it’s at and they definitely do not disappoint. The first game I tried with this headset was Demon’s Souls, as I understood that this was designed with the 3D audio in mind. When I first started playing I have to admit to being a bit underwhelmed with the directional audio, but over time as I got more “tuned in” to the soundscape I started to notice a lot more sounds, specifically background sounds that may not have stood out through our soundbar. Sound has good depth with enough bass to be punchy, but not overwhelming. Depth is also fantastic, being able to hear multiple levels of sound clearly, and concisely. It is also possible to hear the actual direction of sounds, so in games such as Demon’s Souls you know whether an enemy is above, below or to the left or right of you.
Performance has been equally as good in other games – I’ve also tried them with plays on Sackboy’s Big Adventure, God of War, Control and Destruction Allstars. In each game the headset performs excellently, always delivering clarity and a good approximation of surround sound in games such as God of War that don’t support 3D audio.
I haven’t used them for voice chat, so I can’t comment on how good the microphone is I’m afraid, as I don’t use the voice chat feature when gaming online, but I can say that the noise cancelling feature is very good – I can barely hear any background noise at all when using the headphones.
I originally bought the headset as a way to play games later on a night to not disturb anyone, but I’m finding that they are now actually my preferred way to play.
For £90 they aren’t the cheapest set of headphones around, nor are they the most expensive and for the price the sound quality is excellent, very balanced and so far have not heard any distortion in games. If you can get past the slightly ugly appearance and round earcups, which might not not suit everyone, they are a great accompaniment to PS5 games, especially for games that make use of 3D audio!

There was a fair bit of dust on the inside of the box which set off some alarms for me, but the mic sounds fine.
Microphone is decent, but the main selling point is the headphone sound, and 3D audio.
I’ve tested the audio quality with various genre of music to get an idea of how well it handles music.
I tried Deathcore, Hip-Hop, and Emo Trap. It seems all sounds are flat and even. This may be a bi-product of me using 3D Audio. Will need to do separate testing later.
Next test was how it sounds in game. Overall pretty good. Can’t complain. It’s also nice in voice chat.

Disclaimer, these aren’t top-end £300-£500 headphones, they lack the super soft sheepskin leather with plush memory foam that sits so softly against your ears and they don’t command quite the same presence in playback of audio. HOWEVER.
What these headphones are… for £80, is something you would expect to pay £200-£250 for in the consumer space, they are EXCEPTIONAL value for money:
– Audio is crisp, clear and balanced, the familiar sound profile is practically a Sony trademark.
– Low latency custom wireless protocol.
– Build quality, style and attention to detail is excellent (especially the microscopic X, Y, Square and Circle symbols embedded in the plastic).
– The sprung headband keeps these incredibly light on your head, even if the ears are a little tight.
– Noise cancelling microphones.
– 3D Audio that works well with the PS5 (I could roughly distinguish to 45 degrees the source of audio, I expect this will get better over time as the PS5 algorithm and ear profile collection grows).
– USB-C charging.
Downsides:
– No Bluetooth, cable or Wireless USB Dongle only.
– Ears can feel a little tight, better than entry-level solutions but not quite soft leather and memory foam offerings.
– 3D audio may not work for everyone.
OK, there are a few, very minor, down-sides and the bass response could perhaps be a little richer, but for £80, wow you get a lot of headphone, only those with very deep pockets would turn their nose up at these and, not by much.
